ABOUT
The Furman University Equestrian Team, or FUET, is a part of the IHSA Zone 5 Region 3. The team is based in Greenville, SC and rides at Top Call Farm in Travelers Rest, SC. We are an eclectic bunch of girls who all bond together to create a sense of community through our love of riding. This is a very dedicated group of girls who are passionate about many things, horses being close to the top of that list! Every fall the team recruits new riders of any level and any age at Furman.
Each lesson at Top Call Farm costs $55/lesson and each team member lessons weekly. Most other costs involved with showing with the team are covered by our university given club funds.

2018 - 2019 Season
The Furman Equestrian Team had another successful year full of shows, ribbons, and a lot of riding. New members joined in the beginning of the school year adding more talent to the team and we had great success at every show. At the end of the year we had three riders qualify for regionals. Emily Shafer received 5th place in Intermediate Flat and Kate Stuart received 6th place in Walk Trot Canter. Overall the team earned 7th in the region thanks to all the hard work our members and coaches put into this season.
At the Furman Club Sports Banquet, we honored those whose dedication truly stood out through the show season. Blair Hill received the Sportsmanship Award, Calleigh Brignull received MVP, Sara Stuart was Most Improved, Emily Shafer was Female Athlete of the Year, and the Outstanding Coaching Award went to Emily Tuten. This banquet is one of the Team’s favorite events because we all get to come together and celebrate the Equestrian Team and the member’s successes.
